Weekly Update

Can you find your daughter?
The girls loved making their Avatars on the Pixton site this week. Next week we will begin to use this site to create comics that demonstrate understanding of the Three Branches of Government. In Math, we finished up our Geometry Unit. Look for the girls' assessments to come home on Tuesday. We have already begun reading and writing numbers into the millions, and we will begin rounding large numbers this week. James and the Giant Peach is -literally- getting juicy, and the girls are loving it! They don't want to stop reading.

Reminder ~ Parent Teacher Conferences are Friday, October 20
I look forward to meeting with each of you in the coming week.

Halloween is on Tuesday, October 31. Lower School students may dress up or wear “Halloween colors” by following these guidelines:

  • No weapons or masks

  • Accessories and props like wands, walking sticks, etc. should stay at home

  • Remember that costumes may come home with stains, paint, glue, etc.

  • Footwear should allow for playing outside

  • No make-up

Kindergarten will parade with seniors on the Green at 8:15 a.m. The rest of the Lower School girls will parade around the Green once kindergarten has begun with their senior buddies. Middle School and Upper School  girls will also parade. Parents are welcome.
